2026 Foto Roadmap

• Browser Version Development (scheduled to start in January 2026)
  This is our top priority in 2026. We will start software development on the Browser Version of Foto in January 2026.
  

• Sharing outside of Foto
  We will add the ability to share links to your Profile, Portfolios, and Posts, enabling Foto users to share their content and accounts outside of Foto.
  

• Improved Portfolios
  We’ll add more features to Portfolios to continue delivering great value to all our Pro Members.
  

• Collections
  We will build an exciting new feature called Collections. This allows Foto users to self-curate others' work in various ways.
  

• More Search and Discovery Features
  In 2026, we will introduce several new ways to discover new accounts on Foto. I won’t go into detail on each discovery feature, but we recognize the need to improve this area of Foto and will continue to enhance it.
  

• Multi-Image Posts
  Currently, you can post one image on Foto. We will be adding the ability to post up to 5 photos in a single post.

• Multiple Column Options on the Discovery Page
  We will allow users to set their Discovery Page to 1, 2, or 3 columns.

• More Upload Options
  We’ll add more ways to upload to Foto, including various mobile and desktop options.

• Content Moderation
  We will make minor adjustments to our Content Moderation System to enhance its accuracy and implement an admin feature that allows humans to override the system when it makes an error.

• Editing Comments
  We will allow users to edit comments and replies on Foto.

• Metadata
  Image metadata enables us to accomplish many exciting things, and we will launch features that leverage metadata in 2025. Most of these features will focus on expanding search functionality, while other metadata features will help label and tag photos correctly and protect copyright holders.

• Adding DMs
  Some people love direct messaging, and others hate it. We will add DMs, but we will also allow users to turn them off completely.

• Another Pro Feature
  We will start on our second Pro Feature in 2026. This will likely be either the Post Scheduler. The Shop Feature is something we plan to begin design work on in the 2nd half of 2026.
